Knoxville Zoo

My Birthday Weekend

The fun started on Friday night. The weather was beautiful. The girls wanted to practice hitting the ball so I suggested going to Warriors Path to save the Pastor's car and our windows. I called Tommy at work and he said that he wanted to take the boat out. So we decided to do both. I would take the girls to play softball until he got off work, then we would head out to the water.
It was a good thing we did both because it got hot playing baseball. Especially since I had to get most of the balls all by myself. To add to the fun I called Jennifer to see if they wanted to join us. So she met us out at the soccer fields. I pitched to the kids. Jarrett got me real good in the leg. Serves me right for pitching to a Pro.
The guys showed up at 6:00 and we were off. Ashley and Jarrett were the first to ride. Allie and Blake took the next ride. Allie isn't as crazy as Ash is so Blake was the perfect passenger for Al. It was the boys' first time on a tube. I think they really liked it. Especially the BIG Boys (Tommy and Michael). I had a great time throwing them off the tube, although I paid for it the next day. There is NO power steering in the boat so I had a hard time steering. Jennifer and I thought it was still too cold so we stayed in the boat. The day came to a end when the boat ran out of gas. It was a little embarrassing but we had a good laugh about it. It was Jennifer's first time on a boat too. I hope she still wants to go again after that experience. They came over for a little while after everyone showered. Ashley and Jarrett passed out pretty quick. Tommy had to also work the next day.
Saturday I went to register the girls for Softball. They are pretty excited about it so we will see how this goes. After registration they wanted to visit my Aunt for a while, so while they were there I went home to do Laundry. My Aunt wasn't feeling to good so they came home and she told me that she wasn't going to make it to the Ladies Spring Banquet at church. I hated that she had to miss it. The girls and Tommy went to a Father Daughter Dance while I was at church.
Sunday morning we were bad and skipped out on church. It was my Birthday so Tommy took us to The Knoxville Zoo. I loved it. Just walking around being with my Husband and Girls. Nothing makes me happier. After the Zoo I thought we were going to the Apple Barn for Dinner, but Tommy surprised me with dinner at the Dixie Stamped;(check out the link)http://www.dixiestampede.com/.
I loved the show...Thank you Dear.
So that was my Birthday weekend. I hope this satisfies the Blog Police.
Love you

Feeling MUCH Better!

Well Ashley has her spunkyness back! This is a conversation her and Tommy had.

Ashley: "Daddy, whose little person car is that?"
Tommy: "It's Pastor Roy's, I am gonna fit it."

Ashley: "So who are you fixing the DUMPSTER for?"

Tommy: " That's my truck."
Ashley: "My bad!"

You gotta love that child with the things she comes out with. She is the Simon Cowell of our house, so brutally honest.

Bless Her Heart.

My poor little Ashley is home again with, well let's just say, "STOMACH PROBLEMS". It all started Sunday night. I thought we were in the clear today. We made it through Breakfast, got all dressed, hair done. I had just handed her the excuse note for Monday... then off to the bathroom she went.Pepto Bismal

The first thing she said to me was, "Mommy, am I gonna make you lose your job?" Bless her little heart.

Finally Catching My Breath

First of all sorry guys, I know it has been way too long since my last post. I am so very surprised that the blog police didn't throw me in the slammer.

A lot has happened since getting back from California. The first week back was spent at Dr. Appointments even for or cats. Whoever says acupuncture is a form of therapy needs to have a chat with Ashley. Poor child was traumatised by Dobby using her as a form of leverage to escape from the van as we were trying to get the cats inside for their appointment. They are too big for Cat carriers weighing in a 17 and 18 pounds. Yes! the vet said they too need to be on a diet. So they got there shots and are now back outside. Between PTA events, school, work and church there has been no time for rest. I'm thinking strep sound good about right now(I will probably pay for that comment later).

Wednesday all things came to a complete stop when my phone rang at 6:45. I thought it was my Aunt calling to tell Allie Happy Birthday but no, to my surprise it was my Uncle... My ER radar came right on, First thing out of my mouth "What's Wrong". He said My Aunt was on her way to the hospital with chest pains. I got to there house as the ambulance was taking her. I got my Uncle and we followed. After about 2 hours we got some good news her EKG and blood work was ok. But why the pain???? They kept her over night. She kicked me out of her room @ 3:30 so I could be with Allie on her Birthday. Allie had a friend from school comeover and after the homework was done she really wanted to go out on the boat for some tubing. The girls had a blast but I forgot my camera ( mind was elsewhere I guess). Thursday My Aunt had a stress test, which turned out good. So what's going on??? That is still the question today. They think it was Inflamation in her chest. She got to go home around 6:00 Praise the Lord!!! The girls and I went off to a PTA Fundraiser at Chick Fil-A for their school. We had a very special guest. Tommy met us there. He had a very special job to do. He got to be the Chick-Fil-A Cow. Now out of respect for him I decided not to post the pictures and save him the embarrassment .................................................................................................YA RIGHT HEE! HEE! HA! HA!!!
Here ya go. Isn't he CUTE! He is such a great dad the girls loved it.

With the girls

He even had some cool moves to my surprise

With Ashley's Teacher
Since the crazy week I had, I didn't get any of my shopping done for Allie's Birthday Party so I was off and out of the house first thing Friday morning. Let's just say TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! Every store I went to didn't open until 10 am. Which did not work for me because I had to be at work by 10:30. I went into High stress mode. Allie wanted a Penguin theme party. Penguins in the spring are a very hard thing to come by. All in all Everything managed to work out. Despite all the what I call "GIRL DRAMA", Allie had a lot of fun with her friends. They spent most of the time outside, which was great for my house. After dark they danced and did their nails. Jennifer stayed the night too so she could help me out. Thank You Jennifer!!! The girls went out and TPed Tommy's Blazer. After we got all 10 girls settled in for the night, Jennifer and I started to watch a movie. It was called AWAKE. It didn't keep us awake. After about just 30 minutes I could have sworn Tommy was in the room with me. Maybe it was a bear in hybernation.... what could it have been Jennifer? Snoring smilie Well anyway let's just say I was WIDE awake again and watched the entire movie(FYI, I don't recommend it).
The following morning it was time to get the house back in order so after breakfast I kicked the girl's outside. The last one left at around 1:00. Then after Tommy got home from work we vegged in front of the TV for the race. Congrats Brent, your guy won!
This week is TCAP's (testing) for Allie. Please pray for her she is stressing out big time! Love ya Jayme

California Slide Show!!

Spring Break in California

Well as you know I am back from California. The girls, Dena and I had a really good time visiting with family and friends that we haven't seen in way too long. The time really shows by how much the kids have grown and changed. The girls said they remembered everyone which was good, I was afraid they wouldn't. It really hit me how much I miss getting together just for a simple dinner. Talking about things going on and laughing at the kids being silly. We never really needed a special occasion, just being together was all that mattered. I hope My girls will learn to appreciate that as they get older. It was hard to leave but hopefully we won't have to wait another 3 years. Thanks for the great time. I Love You!!!

I had way to many pictures so I decided to just do a slide show. I hope you all enjoy it.
