Time Flies When Your having FUN!!!

Wow I can't believe the New Year is almost here.
Since my last post we have gone none stop. The girls, Debi and I did some Christmas Baking. They did the cookies 4 different kinds, while I made a pineapple upside down cake, hay stakes, rice treats, candy cane bark, and Allie and I made Chocolate covered toffee.
In our house the gift opening starts very soon. I usually start on the 20Th. The girls get to open one gift a day. This way they are not overwhelmed with everything at once. They get to really enjoy each gift for a day. Also, less mess to pick up. Then on Christmas Day they get their stockings and Santa's gift.

On Christmas Eve The Clymens' Families along with the The Plilers and Grandpa had a very good time eating, exchanging gifts, and Playing with the WII. Yep I finally broke down and bought all 3 of my kids a video game system. I have to say I have really enjoyed it myself.

Christmas Day we woke up around 8:30 and the girls headed down to see what Santa left for them. We also made sure that the girls knew what The True meaning of Christmas was by telling the Christmas story in their own words. Dena and Uncle Rodger came over for Brunch at around 11:30. After they left we went to the movies to see Marley and Me. Going to the movies on Christmas Day has become a tradition since we moved here to Tennessee. That first Christmas my ourselves was very quiet and lonely so this is what we came up with to fill in the time. I was quite surprised with amount of people that do this. Marley and Me was really good although I left the theater felling drained from crying. Go and see this movie especially if you have a dog. You will gain a whole new appreciation for your furry friend.

Friday was Tommy's parents last day here in Tennessee. We dropped them of at @ 2:00, then the girls and I headed home to get ready for round 2. Friday night we headed out to Knoxville to pick up the Boys and my Mother. Their flight was suppose to come in at 10:47. It ended up arriving at 12:13AM. We were so tired the next day, poor Tommy had to work.

My ABC Club is back together :-). A= Allie and Ashley, B= Brent and Brandon, C= Clymens/Curran. The kids have really enjoyed playing together. It has mostly been in pairs. Allie and Brent, Ashley and Brandon. When have gone shopping, went to see Bedtime Stories. I played a game of Life with the girl's and Brandon. The things that came out of their mouths during that game cracked me up. Ashley " But I don't want to get Married", Brandon " I've been wronged" (when he had to pay for a lawsuit). Allie " Why didn't I get a baby" She worries me.
My Aunt and Tommy haven't been felling to good so we didn't get a chance to go to Bristol for the light until last night. We also took them to the dancing lights right down the street from Bristol. Brent said he like the light there better. He's into that high tech stuff.
Today is New Years Eve, we are keeping it low key this year. Probably just spend most the night with Family, the WII and good food.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here are some slides from the past week

Winter Vacation is in full swing

Can you believe it 3 post in one day. I know I have had some catching up to do. So while the girls are downstairs with their Grandparents learning how to sew by hand, that gave me a quick break.

I have finally got all my Christmas shopping done and everything is wrapped and under the tree. The weekend went by fast. Friday was PARTY DAY. Allie and Ashley both had Christmas parties at school. I had to work so I didn't get to stay at the parties the entire time. Then Friday night Allie had a Christmas Party/Dance to attend. Ashley had a party for her horseback riding Academy. That meant Tommy went with Ashley and I went with Allie.
Saturday we were going to go bake at the Allen's house but ended up stuck at home again. The girls got themselves into trouble. Why does this seem to happen when I want to go out an do something.

Sunday we went to early service then back at home to get the house all cleaned up for our company. Tommy's parents arrived safely Sunday night.

Boy was it COLD on Monday. If it was up to me I would have stayed inside with a warm fire, hot cocoa and in my PJ's all day. But we did venture out to finish up some shopping, meet Tommy for lunch and then Ashley had riding lessons.

I added a few slide shows from last week for you to enjoy.

Tis the season to be stressful!!!

What can I say, December is in full swing. I have been busy with all things Allie, Ashley and Christmas. Those two girls have me going all over. We have been to birthday parties, shopping, horseback riding and Allie has started to take dance classes. In my spare time I have been getting things ready for Ashley's Christmas Program at school. I was in charge of making animal Santa hats, bird tops(the girls helped with them). We had feathers and glue ALL over the house. My hot glue gun has become my best friend. The I had to get the stage set up. Thankfully I talked a few other parents to help with that. I think it turned out pretty good.

On top of all that, I went and got sick again. I am almost positive it is due to something in the school. The doctor put me on singular to go along with another round of antibiotics and 2 different cough syrups and my inhaler. So hopefully this it will get me through the winter, we'll see.
We finally got the girls' school pictures back. I for one LOVE them. Here is a preview...

My girl's are growing up too fast.

This is the last week until winter break. So that means another crazy week. I have two class rooms to plan parties for. Lucky for me both classes have great parents that have no problem helping out. It's just a matter of me getting what is needed and they do all the fun part. I have to work during the parties since I am on the morning shift. The principal said we can visit so I will get a few pics..
Speaking of pictures. My wonderful husband got me a new camera, so as soon as I figure it out I will download all the pictures from this past few weeks.

I have a few presents to get still, so I will be busy this week getting the school stuff done and my house ready for company. Tommy's parents will be here on Sunday til Friday afternoon, then My Mother and Nephews will be her that Friday evening. Can't Wait.

Winter has arrived!!

I know that winter hasn't officially arrived but when I looked out my window this morning it sure looked like it. I made up this background & header a couple of weeks ago but I HAD decided to wait to change it until after Thanksgiving. But with all the snow on the ground this morning I couldn't wait. So Happy "WHITE" Birthday to Grandpa! I hope you enjoy it and I love you.
As for us here. Yep, they closed the school for the day, so it was stay in bed and keep warm a little later this morning. Tommy is also home until Tuesday, that is as long as his doctor gives him the OK. He is having a lot of problems with his back and the doctor didn't like how his x ray looked so after a heavy duty steroid and muscle relaxer they will recheck it and see how everything is sitting then.
As I already said it's My Grandpa's birthday today so we will be going over to my Aunt's today and then out to dinner tonight to celebrate. I'm not sure how old he actually is (87 I think)but I know he is in better shape than the old people he lives with (I won't mention any names, HA!) Just kidding, but he walks everyday for a hour and that is saying something.
As for me and the girls we are feeling pretty good these day's, praise the lord.
You all have a great weekend

Allie's Turn

Lord help me! I don't know how much more I can take. As you all know I haven't been feeling to good. Then last week Ashley had a ear infection. I took Allie last week with Ashley because she had been doing a lot of coughing, runny nose, sore throat. The doctor said it was viral. Her coughing didn't get better and she said her ears felt plugged all the time so she was having a hard time hearing (I know nothing different there ;-) ) Now a week later I took her back to the doctor (her actual doctor this time) Allie has a Double Ear Infection AND Walking Pneumonia. Oh yeah she is also wheezing and has to use a inhaler too. I think this could have been caught last week if that doctor would have taken the time to test her. I wonder if I could get a refund on the last co-pay I had to pay? On a side note I am feeling 75% better, still coughing a bit.

Her doctor said to keep her home tomorrow so I have to stay home from work with Allie. I didn't want to send her to Dena's and get Grandpa sick. Allie was sad about that. She LOVES staying with Dena when she doesn't feel good. Dena is good with the babying/smothering stuff that Allie just eats up! I guess the Lord has his way of making us SLOW DOWN! I have gotten so much down time, but it was needed.

Still Not Up To Par

This has been the longest 7 weeks of my life. I have yet to shake whatever sickness I have. The doctors have checked my blood, everything came back negative but they gave me a second round of antibiotics yesterday along with a inhaler and more cough syrup. Come to find out when I went to pickup my prescriptions the pharmacist informed me that I am on the strongest antibiotic that I could get unless I was in the hospital hooked up to a IV... great. My doctor did say I have bronchitis and a sinus infection but with all the med's I got, maybe my doctor is keeping something from me. If I don't clear up soon I think I will be heading over to a allergy specialist. That's the only other thing I can think of. I have talked to a few teachers at school and they have told me it could have to do with the room they put me in. Apparently everyone that has works in the room I am in gets sick. WONDERFUL!
Ashley went back to the doctor too, she now has a ear infection.

Enough of my pity party. Despite felling bad, we have manages to do a few things. Ashley and Basketball are in full swing. Allie is all done with Chargers Cheer leading. We took of for a weekend with the Duncan Family to Gatlinburg.
I am co- chairing as homeroom mom for both Allie and Ashley. I had a lot of fun planning the Halloween parties. The mom from Ashley's class that was in charge of games got sick so I ended up putting both of the girls' classrooms together for the game . I did this game called " The Withering Corpse". Basically I read a story to the kids about this man that was murdered and what was in the boxes was his body parts. I know Gross,,,,but those kids loved it! They had to walk around the table and stick there hands in a box to feel the parts (ex. Brain, eyes, hand, heart. etc.). When actuality it was just food. The object of the game was to try to figure out what the parts actually were.
Halloween night we went to church for The Sweets, Treats and More event. Tommy and I were in charge of a couple of games and the girls got LOTS of candy during the event. Although I got the bad Mommy award because both girls ended up sick from being out in the cold and I got worse. So it was stay in bed time on Sunday.
Hopefully all of you are doing much better and enjoying the fall!
Love

YES, I Did It Again!

I was looking through some scrapping sites yesterday and found this little scarecrow/man holding a sign and decided I wanted him on my blog. So that meant I needed to change the whole things again. So what do you think???

Anyway things have been crazy here. September was non stop. well October hasn't slowed down yet, and it is only getting busier. Ashley is doing great with her riding lessons. Allie is still cheering. CHAC Basketball started this week with practice. Ya, wouldn't you know it their schedules crossed so Tommy took Allie while I took Ash to her practice. This weekend we were suppose to go to a Marriage retreat with our Sunday school class. I had the sitter all set up. Tommy however had to spoil it by not being able to get the weekend off. I had thought about going without him, but thought it would be awkward since it is a "Marriage Retreat". Well just because those plans fell through you would think BORING WEEKEND ahead...NOT! Well last week, due to rain, a birthday party the girls were going to fell through so it was rescheduled to Tonight. Tomorrow Allie has a party at Fun Expedition for a boy in her class, then Saturday night We are going to a bonfire/soup social.
Sunday after church Allie's teacher invited us over for a cookout. On top of all this Tommy's mother is coming into town, tonight! I haven't been feeling to good the past few days, so please pray for me. I don't know how I am going to get through this weekend.
I hope you all have a great weekend...Oh, by the way I am SO EXCITED my nephews and mother are coming out for a week at Christmas break, YIPPEE!!!!

My New Desktop Picture

Well since a few plans We had scheduled for today failed to happen, that left me some time to play on my computer. I decided to change my desktop from the Back to School one I did to one for the fall months. Well this is what I came up with.

The pics are of the girls from last fall. I will probably change the pics once I get some from this year.
I am really enjoying this digital scrap booking stuff. It is so easy to change something if you don't like it. I have never been much for scrap booking but since I started doing it on the computer and then I had a chance to do some at Macey's party, I am hooked. Tommy was giving me a hard time because I have been spending a lot of time doing it. But now that I have finished updating my Aunt's and Sister's Blogs, I will have to wait until my family goes to bed to play from now on. That's fine with me, I am a night owl anyway. I got to do my desktop while Tommy was on the other computer and the girls were busy playing with one of Ashley's friends from school. Well it's time to get them to bed for church in the morning and Tommy and I are going to watch a movie. So Good night!

Sorry I can't make-up my mind

I know I have changed my blog a few times and I will probably change it again. I liked the scarecrows but I thought it was too bright and busy. The leaves were from the cutest blog site and I want to come up with one myself so this is what I came up with for today. At the rate I am going, it will change weekly if not daily. I am happy with my signature though so I may come up with a background and header that will match that, so stay tuned.

Anyway things have been BUZY. The girls and I have had a few parties to attend. We went to a slumber party for Miss Macey then Saturday Ashley had a party in Johnson City. While she was at the party Allie and I did a little shopping. We actually went to get Halloween Costumes. Allie decided she wanted to be Sharpay from High School Musical. We are talking blond wig, BIG pink sunglasses, lots of bling. So Allie. Since we got a early start getting the costume, we actually found a Dorthy from the Wizard of oz for Ashley. She has wanted to be Dorthy for years, but we could never find one in her size. Well we finally succeeded so after we picked up Ash from the party we went and had her try it on. VICTORY!!!! After Tommy got home we headed over to the Duncan's for Horse riding and Smores'. Kelly is trying to get me on the horse but I told her I was more into feeding them than riding them. I will one of these days. Ash got to ride Satch all by herself. Tommy did too. Allie wanted Kelly to still lead her. We also got to meet some friends they met camping one year from California. Sunday Tommy and Ashley weren't feeling to good so we stayed home from church. It was nice to spend some quality family time together.
Today I started my new hours at school. It was great to get home by 1:00. Tommy was off today so he took Ashley to her riding lessons. That gave me time to get most of the laundry done and Allie a head start on her homework. When Ashley got home she informed me that her horse stepped on her foot. She has a nice bump and bruise. Hopefully the swelling will be down in the morning. It can't be too bad since she did come home and jump on the trampoline. We will see what tomorrow brings. Well good night for now.

Wecome Fall

I know it is not until next week, but I can't wait. I love Fall here in Tennessee. It is beautiful!!!Most everyone I know gets sad this time of the year but not me. The weather is perfect. Jeans and a T-Shirt type of weather. YIPPEE!!!! Less humidity means better hair days for me. School is in full swing= less time at home fighting, cheer leading for Allie and now I am heading over to the Middle School to sign up Ashley for Basketball. Yes, she is still doing her riding lessons but since that is only one day and Ash has NO problems when it comes to getting her school work done, I am not worried at all about things slipping. Allie on the other hand hasn't changed much. Homework is always a battle. We didn't let her cheer this past weekend because of a bad grade on her Math test. She was mad and then shocked when I told her she better get it together or come Middle School and High School, NO GOOD GRADES, You can't be on a team. Hopefully that will open her eyes a bit. Tommy said to sign up Allie for basketball too but I am fighting him on it. For one I asked her last night about it and she said no, but today at school she said she wanted to because her buddy Emily is signing up. Then there is the fact about her school work. I feel like unless she can prove she can handle it all, NO WAY. Well we will see what happens.

Catching Up

Hello All,
Nothing new to tell you here. We have been doing the same thing with church, school, and football games. To Ashley's disappointment, she didn't have riding lessons. We did have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Tommy had a little camp out the night before with some of our friends' kids in the backyard. I got to have a very nice and quiet night in the house all by myself. The next morning they all stormed the house slamming doors and screaming.... so much for my quiet time. That evening we went to the Allen's for our Sunday School social. We had a great time of fellowship. Tommy and I brought the volleyball net. No score was kept, so it was just a lot of fun. To my surprise Ashley is quite the server. Allie even got out there and tried.
We also had a couple of birthday parties to attend the past 2 weeks, but that's all I can think of that we have done.
So sorry for the boring post but that is all I've got for you. Have a great week!

Quiet Night

After the game last night, Allie went home with her friend Emily to stay the night. Tommy had to work today so that left Ashley and I to have a 1/2 day for just the two of us. I took her to the movies to see The Longshot. It's the one with Ice Cube. Well anyway, long story short Ashley now wants to play football. Lord help me! Is there any sport she doesn't want to play? The movie was based on a true story and I tend to like movies like that and this was no different. Ash liked it to.

Oh, by the way the Chargers WON! Yeah!!! They slaughtered the Pirates 48-0. I thought that was sad since we knew some of the players on the other team from when the girls went to Sullivan Elementary.

Tommy came home from work not feeling to well, so after I went to get Allie we had a quiet night at home. This was really nice for a change. As I was updating my blog, Ashley came in and said she wanted to watch JAWS, yep I said JAWS. The box said PG so Me and the girls curled up in bed and watched it (Tommy was sleeping). They were to funny watching that movie. Allie kept talking about how fake the shark looked and how dumb the people were in the movie. She caught on to the fact that the more noise they made they more time the shark would try to eat them. She kept yelling at the movie. "Shut UP". Ashley's phrase was "GET OUT of the water", she would then ask me when the shark was coming so she could cover her eyes. As for me I LOVE JAWS even though I have to agree with Allie, the shark does look fake. Can you imagine how cool it would be to remake it with all the technology they have now? Although why mess with a classic.

Well we are going to church in the morning so I better head to bed. Goodnight

The BFF Sweatshirt

Cassie and I met last night at Justice (is there any other store) to get the girl's their BFF sweatshirts. I hadn't seen them before. When I did I thought I wished I had one when I was little. All I had was a bracelet or necklace. Boy have things changed.

Allie was really excited about getting one. So both girls got one, then they (well me and Cassie) unzipped one half and switched, just like you do with the necklace. TOO CUTE!

Here are our models. Thanks for the pic. Cassie!

Yes, We are alive!

Hello all, sorry it's been a while. We have been real busy getting back to life after summer vacation and back to school. Monday's were nightmare day's for me but Now that Allie doesn't have to go to cheer practice after Ashley's riding class we have found some free time Monday nights. Tuesday had become our day of rest before Wednesday nights at Awana, Thursday's and Saturday's will be devoted to Allie for Chargers football games. This week however Allie has a Jamboree to attend Thursday and then the first Chargers game will be on Friday.

So what have we been doing????? Since my last post. Tommy and I had a great but scary anniversary. The great part was getting to spend some alone time together. We took a very long drive out to see some waterfalls...Beautiful. The scary part was the fact that NO ONE was around and you had to hike up steep hills to get to them. We are talking hold on to the roots of the trees to pull yourself up and pray they don't break. Also the fact that no one else was there, all I could picture was a bear having us for dinner and no one knowing where we were. I also have developed a fear of heights. So trying to come back down from the hills didn't set to well with me. On top of that Tommy told me to wear tennis shoes. Now I don't know about everyone else but I have "tennis shoes" for different occasions. Walking , Athletic, Hiking, and my good everyday just for style NO traction shoes. Since I had NO clue what we were doing of course I picked my GOOD ones. Needless to say they aren't my good ones anymore. Tommy also had this wonderful surprise for me. He went out shopping to make Chocolate covered Strawberries (MY FAVE) just for me. Bless his little heart, I will just say this. Never use Frozen Strawberries. Tommy got a A+++ just for effort though!

We have stayed busy with school stuff too. Lot's of homework!

Tommy cut down our Apple trees. They were really making a mess and the bee's and other insects were loving them. So bye bye Apple Trees.

Tommy and I also got to go to the race this weekend. We didn't think we would get to go but last minute Tommy won tickets at work, Yippee! We had a great time there, as always. We went with Duffer and Nicole. They had other tickets so we didn't get to set with them. Check out Nicole's blog for pictures.

Ashley is loving her riding class. Monday, Tommy finally got to attend. He got a show. Ashley even got to jump for the first time to I was happy that Tommy got to see that too. I however thought I was gonna pass out because last week she almost fell of when her horse tripped, so when her teacher said "let's do the Cross bar", I thought "Is she CRAZY" it was only Ashley's 4th lesson. Well she did it though with her teachers help. Her horse must have sensed my fear because unless Ashley's teacher was right next to her her horse would trot right up until he got to the bar then he would slowly step over it. GOOD Horse. He may have also been a little camera shy because I was standing there trying to get a picture. Oh well maybe next time.

Well that's all here. I posted a Slide Show from Bristol and Ashley's last class for you to enjoy.
