Quiet Night

After the game last night, Allie went home with her friend Emily to stay the night. Tommy had to work today so that left Ashley and I to have a 1/2 day for just the two of us. I took her to the movies to see The Longshot. It's the one with Ice Cube. Well anyway, long story short Ashley now wants to play football. Lord help me! Is there any sport she doesn't want to play? The movie was based on a true story and I tend to like movies like that and this was no different. Ash liked it to.

Oh, by the way the Chargers WON! Yeah!!! They slaughtered the Pirates 48-0. I thought that was sad since we knew some of the players on the other team from when the girls went to Sullivan Elementary.

Tommy came home from work not feeling to well, so after I went to get Allie we had a quiet night at home. This was really nice for a change. As I was updating my blog, Ashley came in and said she wanted to watch JAWS, yep I said JAWS. The box said PG so Me and the girls curled up in bed and watched it (Tommy was sleeping). They were to funny watching that movie. Allie kept talking about how fake the shark looked and how dumb the people were in the movie. She caught on to the fact that the more noise they made they more time the shark would try to eat them. She kept yelling at the movie. "Shut UP". Ashley's phrase was "GET OUT of the water", she would then ask me when the shark was coming so she could cover her eyes. As for me I LOVE JAWS even though I have to agree with Allie, the shark does look fake. Can you imagine how cool it would be to remake it with all the technology they have now? Although why mess with a classic.

Well we are going to church in the morning so I better head to bed. Goodnight

The BFF Sweatshirt

Cassie and I met last night at Justice (is there any other store) to get the girl's their BFF sweatshirts. I hadn't seen them before. When I did I thought I wished I had one when I was little. All I had was a bracelet or necklace. Boy have things changed.

Allie was really excited about getting one. So both girls got one, then they (well me and Cassie) unzipped one half and switched, just like you do with the necklace. TOO CUTE!

Here are our models. Thanks for the pic. Cassie!

Yes, We are alive!

Hello all, sorry it's been a while. We have been real busy getting back to life after summer vacation and back to school. Monday's were nightmare day's for me but Now that Allie doesn't have to go to cheer practice after Ashley's riding class we have found some free time Monday nights. Tuesday had become our day of rest before Wednesday nights at Awana, Thursday's and Saturday's will be devoted to Allie for Chargers football games. This week however Allie has a Jamboree to attend Thursday and then the first Chargers game will be on Friday.

So what have we been doing????? Since my last post. Tommy and I had a great but scary anniversary. The great part was getting to spend some alone time together. We took a very long drive out to see some waterfalls...Beautiful. The scary part was the fact that NO ONE was around and you had to hike up steep hills to get to them. We are talking hold on to the roots of the trees to pull yourself up and pray they don't break. Also the fact that no one else was there, all I could picture was a bear having us for dinner and no one knowing where we were. I also have developed a fear of heights. So trying to come back down from the hills didn't set to well with me. On top of that Tommy told me to wear tennis shoes. Now I don't know about everyone else but I have "tennis shoes" for different occasions. Walking , Athletic, Hiking, and my good everyday just for style NO traction shoes. Since I had NO clue what we were doing of course I picked my GOOD ones. Needless to say they aren't my good ones anymore. Tommy also had this wonderful surprise for me. He went out shopping to make Chocolate covered Strawberries (MY FAVE) just for me. Bless his little heart, I will just say this. Never use Frozen Strawberries. Tommy got a A+++ just for effort though!

We have stayed busy with school stuff too. Lot's of homework!

Tommy cut down our Apple trees. They were really making a mess and the bee's and other insects were loving them. So bye bye Apple Trees.

Tommy and I also got to go to the race this weekend. We didn't think we would get to go but last minute Tommy won tickets at work, Yippee! We had a great time there, as always. We went with Duffer and Nicole. They had other tickets so we didn't get to set with them. Check out Nicole's blog for pictures.

Ashley is loving her riding class. Monday, Tommy finally got to attend. He got a show. Ashley even got to jump for the first time to I was happy that Tommy got to see that too. I however thought I was gonna pass out because last week she almost fell of when her horse tripped, so when her teacher said "let's do the Cross bar", I thought "Is she CRAZY" it was only Ashley's 4th lesson. Well she did it though with her teachers help. Her horse must have sensed my fear because unless Ashley's teacher was right next to her her horse would trot right up until he got to the bar then he would slowly step over it. GOOD Horse. He may have also been a little camera shy because I was standing there trying to get a picture. Oh well maybe next time.

Well that's all here. I posted a Slide Show from Bristol and Ashley's last class for you to enjoy.

WOW!!! It's Been 10 Years

Ten years ago today I married the biggest pain in the b--- of a boy I had ever met, I guess that's why I knew it was gonna turn out right. He had to be to put up with me for all these years.
We did come pretty close to not making it. I Thank the Lord for helping us. He intervened almost 4 years. The day we moved to Tennessee was the day our marriage was renewed. Tommy and I had to learn to make it on our own. We always had a lot of negative influences tearing at us. With the Lord's guidance we needed to learn how to turn to each other for strength, support, trust, Love and Friendship. The past 4 years have allowed us to do this and grow to be a strong family.
4 years ago I wouldn't have even called him my "Best Friend" I don't even think I liked him all that much, but today he is my Best Friend, my strength and my weakness ;-).
Although he is still the biggest Pain in the B---. He has also grown to be such a wonderful Husband and Father, THE BEST. I am truly honored to be his wife.

Ashley's First Riding Lesson

First of all I want to give Nicole a BIG "Thank You!!!" for telling me how to send my camera pictures to my email so I could download all the pics I took on Ashley's first riding lesson.
So then I put together a little collage. I know the pictures aren't to great as quality goes, so for that I am sorry. The good thing however is that I have pictures of this memorable event for Ashley. So here is Ashley with Pepe.
Enjoy!!

My New Time Killer

Since Tommy wasn't feeling good today we stayed home from church. Stomach stuff...YUCK!While Tommy was in bed SNORING, the girls swam and played with the cats most of the day. What did I do? Well I have a new hobby... If you look at my sidebar will see a copy of my very first scrapbook page that I created for my Desktop. I am not one for a lot of busy stuff going on and I am pretty new to doing anything creative. So be honest...What do you think.
I had a lot of fun doing it and thanks to Nicole's blog with all her Scrap booking links.
After I was finished creating we had dinner and watched a movie together called Penelope.
We loved the movie. Allie was so sweet the whole time getting upset at the people that treated Penelope wrong because of how she looked.

This past week has been busy being back to school.
Monday night was Ashley's first actual riding lesson. It went great! I took some pictures with my phone but I have to still figure out how to download them to my computer. I'll bring my digital camera tomorrow. She has her lesson every Monday right after school. While Allie was at cheer practice, Tommy took Ashley and her friend Abby out fishing. Abby got to spend the night.
Tuesday we went out on the boat. It was a good day full of Family and Friends, with the occasional laugh so much you almost pee your pants moments. Luckily the bathroom isn't too far for #1 :-).
Wednesday we thought Awana started...WRONG... We went to church and ended up helping with TEAM Kids and getting the gym ready for when Awana starts up NEXT week.
Thursday is my laundry day. This will have to change soon because when football starts, Allie will be cheering Thursday nights.
Friday after Tommy got home from work we headed over to Sam's to stock up. Then we went over to some friends for a few rounds of Dominoes.
Saturday, I had to reorganized my Kitchen, since I needed more room for all the bulky food. Allie was a BIG help. She even swept and mopped the floor for me and then vacuumed the carpet. After we were all done with that the girls went out to swim. I went out to clean up all the Apples that were falling off the neighbors tree. I caught Ashley throwing some, so I made her pick up all the green ones from our tree. Needless to say she was not happy about that. I told her she needed to change her attitude or we wouldn't go anywhere when Tommy got home from work. Since I was collecting the Apples for The Duncan's horses, and that we were heading there to feed them and a bonfire, Attitude GONE.

Well that bring me back to today. The crew is all asleep but me and since I have to go to work tomorrow, I will say GOODNIGHT!

First Day Of School

Well that this dreaded day has arrived.

Yep Allie is officially a 4th grader and Ashley is a 3rd grader. I had to go to work before they were completely ready for school so I didn't get pictures so here is a few from after school today.

This is the backpack that Dena got for Ashley's birthday. She put the horse on the back. I added the name. It didn't turn out as straight as I would have liked, but Ash likes it so that is all that maters.

They both had a great day, yes me too. I got lots of hugs from the kids that I ran into in the halls. The girls LOVE their teachers, so I pray for a good year.

I am off to take Ashley to her riding lesson then straight over to take Allie for Chargers cheer leading. Tommy and I are both off tomorrow so that means one thing...BOATING!
